Walk around while recording video that is instantly streaming to the internet

eLine, the manufacturer of Sniper Cloud Cameras, has a new Wireless Walking Camera Kit. The kit allows remote viewing of video that is being shot by someone on the move and/or in a remote location. The kit comes complete with a wireless video camera, battery pack, router, and antennas… everything you need to get up and running within minutes. Up to 7 people can log in and view video over the internet at the same time. In addition to streaming live video, the camera records to internal memory. People viewing remotely can also capture video to their hard drives.

Some of the applications include:

• Large equipment tech support – The end user and remote support technician can video conference while viewing the operation of equipment.
• Construction project coordination – The construction manager and remote project teams can concurrently tour and discuss progress and problems of the construction project.
• Natural resource management, Disaster management, etc. – In-the-field technicians and management teams can tour and discuss projects and events simultaneously.

Here’s how it works:

• The Sniper Wireless Cloud Camera (A) has an 8mm lens that can focus as close as 8 inches.
• The camera is connected to a battery pack (B) for up to 4 hours of operation per charge.
• The camera sends video to a nearby remote antenna (C) which can be up to 200 ft away. This remote antenna needs power from a standard wall outlet or power supply.
• The remote antenna sends video to your local antenna (D) which can be up to 5 miles away (open air, line of sight).
• The local antenna is cabled to a router (E) which sends your video to the internet. Both the local antenna and router need power from a standard wall outlet or power supply. The router needs access to the internet.
• Up to 7 people can view live video at the same time by logging into a web page using a web browser on a computer, tablet, or smart phone. Audio is not included with the standard package but is available as an option. To preserve bandwidth we recommend using phones for audio.

Super Easy 4-Minute In-the-Field Install

The kit’s components (camera, antennas, router) come pre-configured to communicate with each other and a cloud portal. The only setup you need to do is in-the-field and is shown in the 4-minute video below.
